Keyfob Catalog API

The flinkey keyfob catalog is available as a public REST endpoint. No API key, no OAuth, no headers needed. This is the same data source used by the flinkey keyfob finder.

Endpoint

Parameter Required Description
search recommended Vehicle brand name (case-insensitive, partial match)
  • Without search: returns all brands (~334 KB)
  • With search=bmw: returns only matching brand(s) (~5–15 KB)

Field Type Description
name string Vehicle brand in uppercase (e.g. "BMW", "VOLKSWAGEN")
keys array All keyfob variants for this brand
keys[].boxName string Human-readable name encoding variant code, product line and box type
keys[].boxSapNumber string 14-digit SAP article number
keys[].keyFormImageUrl string URL to a thumbnail image of the physical keyfob shape (JPEG)

boxName encoding

The boxName field encodes multiple pieces of information:

  • First 3 characters: variant code (e.g. "124")
  • Product line keyword: identifies the box technology

The middle digits of boxSapNumber encode the product line:
